The short answer

WoW Forever keeps the original Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor and adds new places to them.

Zephras Isle is the Skyborne starting zone for levels 1–12.

The Riverglades is a new Eastern Kingdoms zone for much of the mid-30s to mid-40s.

Mount Hyjal and Shen’dralas are new areas, but Blizzard has not given them level ranges.

Nine new dungeons span levels 13 to 60.

New ship routes link the two continents earlier and lead to the Riverglades.

There are no flying mounts and no level scaling, so each place keeps its level range.

The official posts we checked show no labelled Forever world map.

So we describe each place by the zones around it, as Blizzard does.

We checked every fact on Blizzard’s U.S., German and Korean pages on September 30, 2026.

New zones at a glance

Blizzard’s What’s Next recap names four new places to explore.

  • South of Desolace through the Valley of Bones (Found Photos)

From Blizzard’s What’s Next and Found Photos recaps and the Skyborne announcement.

Zephras Isle is a starting zone for levels 1 through 12.

The Riverglades covers much of the mid-30s to mid-40s in the Eastern Kingdoms.

For Mount Hyjal, the recap describes a journey through Darkwhisper Gorge.

Shen’dralas is tied to the Shen’dralar, Eldre’Thalas, Dire Maul and local centaur tribes.

Blizzard gives no level range for Mount Hyjal or Shen’dralas yet.

Two familiar zones also change: the Wetlands gains new quests.

In Desolace, the centaur faction quests get more content and faction rewards.

Across levels 1–60, Blizzard counts more than 1,000 new quests.

Zephras Isle: the Skyborne start (levels 1–12)

Zephras Isle is the home and starting zone of the Skyborne, the new playable race.

Blizzard lists its level range as 1–12.

Blizzard’s footnote ties the race and the Zephras Isle starting questline to a purchase.

For those two you need the Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher; a subscription is not enough.

At character creation, a Skyborne joins the Horde or the Alliance.

Horde Skyborne are Windshapers and Alliance Skyborne belong to the High Order.

In the story, the island’s wind spirits have vanished and its pylons are failing.

The Windshapers, the High Order and the Al’Aketh compete for control of the island.

Blizzard calls Zephras Isle a surprising but self-contained experience.

It opened in the first beta week, together with the Skyborne race.

Blizzard has not said whether characters of other races can visit the island.

The Riverglades: location, levels and quest count

The Riverglades is a new zone in the Eastern Kingdoms.

Blizzard says it is connected to the regions around it.

Its examples: the Burning Steppes, Redridge Mountains, Swamp of Sorrows and Badlands.

Blizzard has not published exact borders or which of these regions touch it directly.

Players could not reach this part of the Classic world before.

Blizzard compares its size to Stranglethorn Vale.

It covers much of the mid-30s to mid-40s; Blizzard gives no exact level numbers.

Blizzard’s two recaps give different quest counts.

The What’s Next recap of September 12 says more than 150 new quests.

The Found Photos recap of September 13 says nearly 200 quests for Horde and Alliance.

Blizzard recapDateQuest count
What’s NextSeptember 12More than 150 new quests
Found PhotosSeptember 13Nearly 200 quests

U.S. English publication dates. Both figures are Blizzard’s own.

We list both, because Blizzard has not said which figure is current.

Its port is Powderfuse Port, where the new Steamwheedle ship route arrives.

Blizzard mentions gnoll camps and new ogre threats in the zone.

Groups there include the Powderfuse goblins and the Twilight’s Hammer.

The Brotherhood of the Horse also appears there.

It has also not listed which land paths, if any, lead in from those regions.

Mount Hyjal, Shen’dralas and updated old zones

Mount Hyjal is set in the aftermath of Archimonde’s defeat.

The What’s Next recap describes a journey through Darkwhisper Gorge.

There you meet emerging factions and help shape the future of a recovering land.

Shen’dralas is linked to the Shen’dralar, Eldre’Thalas, Dire Maul and the centaur tribes.

Blizzard describes its location in two ways.

The What’s Next recap calls it a long-hidden mystery between Mulgore and Desolace.

The Found Photos recap places it south of Desolace, through the Valley of Bones.

Blizzard has not published level ranges for either area.

The Wetlands gains quests that build on existing characters and story threads.

Desolace’s centaur faction quests gain more content and faction rewards.

New dungeons: where they are and at what level

Blizzard lists nine new dungeons from level 13 to 60.

Community manager Kaivax posted their level ranges on September 15, 2026.

That forum post also corrected Krol’dok Stronghold to levels 40–45.

Levels from Kaivax’s forum post; places from Blizzard’s What’s Next recap.

The Hall of Thanes lies beneath Ironforge and covers levels 13–18.

Ruins of Lordaeron, where you help the Forsaken reclaim it, covers levels 15–20.

Excavation Site: Wetlands lies above Whelgar’s Excavation and covers levels 24–29.

City of Dalaran covers 28–33 and the Drowned City, with naga and pirates, 35–40.

Alcaz Prison covers 48–53, Blackmaw Hold 55–60 and Shaper’s Terrace 58–60.

For the other dungeons, Blizzard’s posts do not say where the entrance is.

The recap also mentions titan mysteries in Un’Goro without naming the dungeon.

Ranges overlap: by our reading, levels 15–18 fit both of the first two dungeons.

Raids and the new battleground

Two new raids are planned: Barrow Deeps for 10 players and Hyjal Summit for 20.

The Barrow Deeps is a maximum-level challenge.

Blizzard says new raids unlock on December 9.

Its posts do not say where the Barrow Deeps entrance is.

The Darkspear Islands, a new 15 vs 15 battleground, lie off the coast of Kalimdor.

It combines control points with Arathi Basin-style flag captures and defense.

New ship routes

Blizzard adds ship routes so that friends can meet and quest together more easily.

Stormwind Harbor to Auberdine opens an early path from the Eastern Kingdoms to Kalimdor.

Menethil, Southshore and Auberdine add another route with more flexibility while leveling.

The last new route starts with the Steamwheedle Cartel in Tanaris.

It takes you across the sea to Powderfuse Port in the Riverglades.

Blizzard has not published schedules, stop order or faction limits for these ships.

No flying mounts and no level scaling

Blizzard says Forever has no flying mounts and no level scaling.

Blizzard describes new ship routes, but not how you travel to each new area.

No level scaling means zones and dungeons keep the ranges listed above.

If you arrive at a higher level, the content does not scale up to you.

Mounts use a Burning Crusade-style cost: the price moves into training.

You receive a mount when you learn the riding skill.

The riding skill’s level and cost were not stated in the posts we checked.

Exploring the whole map: a Legacy challenge

Exploring the entire world map on one character is a Legacy challenge.

It sits in the Adventure category, which is worth 2 points in total.

Each Legacy challenge gives one Legacy Point, shared with your non-Hardcore characters.

Exploring the whole map is also one of three ways to unlock the Legacy System.

The other two are reaching level 25 or 150 skill in a non-gathering primary profession.

Blizzard has not said whether the new zones count toward the map challenge.

What is still unannounced

Blizzard’s posts leave several map questions open.

There are no official level ranges for Mount Hyjal and Shen’dralas yet.

Ship schedules and faction limits for the new routes are not published.

Most new dungeon entrances are not described.

The posts we checked also give no Forever level table for the original Classic zones.

We will update this guide when Blizzard publishes a map or new level data.
